Recomended only for IE4 or Netscape 4 or above.
For Windows 98 and Windows 95, Just go to windows update and update the add in fonts for Japanese Fonts.
Otherwise, you can download Microsoft GlobalIME, with this, you can also enter Japanese into the search engine. Further more, you can use it with Office97 and 2000. And if you install This IME Patch, for IE, you will not need to carry on the instructions below, for Netscape users, you still gotta follow. Sorry guys!

For a limited time only. Download the add on from Games Unlimited Website !! The font is available here, ielpkja.cab. It is a CAB file, so if you have winzip 7 or Windows 98 with Plus 98, there shouldnt have a problem using this file. If not, you can download this 2 files cabview.dll and cabview.inf.This is part of Powertoy downloadable from Microsoft website. Make sure you have there 2 files on the same directory and then right click on cabview.inf and choose install. Now you can open cab files. After extracting the file Ielpkja.cab, right click on Ja.inf to install the font into the system and you will be ready to read Japanese on English Browsers.
Remember to right click on the file and save the files to your hardisk. the extention may be wrong, just change it to its correct extention and you will be ready to use the files.
New Update
For users using Windows 95 having problem with the files above, please download this instead. As the naming convention in this website, i cannot put up an exe file, so i have changes the name from jpnsupp.exe into jpnsupp.txt. When downloading this file, right click to save the file. It is 3.5 mb in size. After downloading the file, change the txt file back to exe file and you can install the Japanese add on. This file is also found on the Microsoft Office 97 CD-ROM
After you have the fonts, you should see this in Internet Explorer 4.
Accessing by clicking to View, choose Internet Options, click on Fonts.
For Netscape 4.
Accessing to Edit, go to Preferences, go to appearence in Category and select fonts and make the necessary changes to use MS Gothic fonts and make sure you change to the first option that says "Use my default fonts....."
